What has happened to people? Meh, maybe people were always assholes. I have been looking for some support for a screen capture app I am using. I am running the dev preview of Mt Lion on my MacBook, I am about 98% sure that is the source of my WONKY video when using this application. So, I am reading the user forums looking for an obvious sign I am on the right track, and maybe a hint of a beta I...

UPDATE: yeah. Only saw the price and saw red. Should have read the description on the App Store. I think it is kind of lame how @Panic said I was saving 50% off regular price when I purchased @coda2 first day of sale. Last Panic product I buy. Good luck…

In almost 25 years in radio… I have personally never seen a free climber. Although, every time I see someone on our tower, I get a little queazy. You really have no idea how high a tower is until you see a someone on it.

Kirby →
chrisbowler: Interesting looking (simple) CMS from Bastian Allgeier. There are days when I wish for something less complex than EE and with slightly more configurability than Tumblr. There are a few simple blogging tools available now, but Kirby is the one that intrigues me most. Nice CMS. The flat file system is great, plus a pretty powerful php toolkit built in.

FakeS3 is a lightweight server that responds to the same calls Amazon S3 responds to. It is extremely useful for testing of S3 in a sandbox environment without actually making calls to Amazon, which not only require network, but also cost you precious dollars. Nice…

medriscoll: A couple of weeks ago, I was drinking beer in San Francisco with friends when someone quipped: “You have too many hipsters, you won’t scale like that. Hire some fat guys who know C++.”  It’s funny, but it got me thinking.  Who are the “fat guys who know C++”, or as someone else put it, “the guys with neckbeards, who keep Google’s servers running”? And why is it that if you...

BBC News - LA airport TSA security screeners 'ran... →
It is good to see the TSA brought down a bit. They alway seem to me a bit beyond reproach. I know they are there for safety… blah, blah, blah. Is this a good time to use the word, “comeuppance?” Why, yes… yes it is. Ok, I am just still a bit sore, as I fell into that “security risk” black hole a few years back and was in that short list of people that never...
